New Alipore College runs an NCC wing attached to 1 BENGAL BN N.C.C. (COY1/3A). Led by the NCC Officer Lt. Gobindalal Mandal (Assistant Professor of Mathematics), the cadets regularly organise various activities such as Blood Donation Camp, Tree Plantation programme, National Yoga Day Celebration, Independence Day Celebration, Republic Day Celebration and so on. Furthermore, the cadets frequently participate in various activities such as rock climbing, mountaineering, paragliding, river rafting, etc. which are wholly funded by the Govt. of India. The cadets often get the chance of visiting the neighbouring countries under the Govt-funded Youth Exchange Programme. Students joining NCC are entitled to various career advancement facilities. They get opportunities for employment in various defence establishments such as Armed Forces, RPF, CRPF, Police and the like. A cadet with a ‘C’ certificate enjoys special privileges in Armed Forces to the extent that many vacancies are reserved for them in IMA, Dehradun and OTA, Chennai in Army. Some vacancies are kept reserved in Navy and Air Force too.
Our third-year student Sri Shubhojit Samui played the role of Senior Under Officer of our battalion in the current academic year.
