The SC/ST and OBC Cell of New Alipore College has been created to ensure compliance and effective implementation of reservation policies related to SC/ST and OBC according to the provisions laid down by the Govt. of India / UGC notifications.

Activities to ensure implementation of policies as well as awareness programmes in the form of seminars and talks by renowned personalities are held by the Cell. An online account on social platform via face book for wider interaction is maintained by the Cell. A complaints and/or suggestion box has been strategically placed to receive any letters or written matter in this regard ensuring the anonymity of any person concerned for fair evaluation. All the members of this Cell share a common vision of welfare for those belonging to the SC/ST and OBC category and actively contributes to the evolution and development of the Cell.
