The Department of Electronics, New Alipore College, Kolkata -700053 has started its journey from 2008. The Department teaches the general and generic elective based papers of the Electronics for the graduation level under University of Calcutta. Every year this department approximately serves 30 students on an average for the running three years of course. This department runs its function under the august surveillance of Prof. Avishek Choudhury, the in charge of this department. This department has very co-operative faculty members. The department recently is working as good wing to aid up the knowledge of Electronics for the students of computer science, physics and pure sciences. The department is now acting as a part and parcel along with the computer science department for serving the recently introduced syllabus of the Calcutta University. The recent Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) introduced by the Calcutta University contains large scope of getting the knowledge on the modern era electronic system. This department is very much eligible to keep in pace with that. The department has the potential along the department with computer science to take innovative electro-computing system projects based on various domains like Embedded System, Signal Processing, Architectural Designing of the Computing system and Antenna based Communication Systems.  The laboratory set up of the department consists of multi-dimensional usable instruments like digital trainer kit, Analog/digital trainer kit, several function generator of various ranges, several cathode ray oscilloscope etc. Along with that the department has specialised instrument like Q meter, frequency scale multimeter, highly efficient digital ammeter, digital voltmeter, nano ammeter, micro ammeter and many more. Apart from this, the department contains highly efficient microprocessor kits with power supply connections and also newest innovative project leading processor like arduino which adds feather to the crown of this department. The department also day by day enhancing its strength with the forthcoming year semester based laboratory equipment.

1. Semiconductor junction diodes study.

2. Zener and Avalanche diode characteristics study

3. Linear Integrated Circuits like OPAMPs, 555 timer IC based work extending to mathematical and computational logic developing circuit.

4. Amplifiers with LICs and Transistors.

5. Spice lab_Student level.

6. VHDL lab_Student level.

7. Study of the electrical equipments and basic laws.

8. Scilab_Student level.
